Souldiers will now be released in early June
Those who want to get their hands on the retro action RPG Souldiers will have to wait a few more weeks.
Developer Retro Forge has announced that Souldiers missed the May 19th release and now will be released on June 2nd. The delay gave the team extra time to address some technical issues, creative director Alberto Hernández said in his press release:
“We’re very excited about how Souldiers are doing overall, but there are still some bugs that need to be addressed and when we release the game - and when consumers ask us to spend their hard-earned money on the game - they will bug it. You’re getting a premium experience that doesn’t exist.”
Souldiers is perhaps best described as a 16-bit fusion of Metroid exploration, RPG progression, and Souls-like combat. As a scout, caster or archer, you will battle in fantastic lands on the borderline between life and death. If you want to see a trailer for the actual announcement, you can view the original here.
Souldiers is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
