Pokemon Brilliant Diamonds and Shining Pearls: Mythical Shaymin Mystery Gift Available Today

If you’re looking to add the mythical Pokémon Shaymin to your party of Pokémon Brilliant Diamonds and Pokémon Shining Pearls, or your Pokédex, today is your lucky day.

Because Shaymin can be caught in a remake with a Mystery Gift event later today. Announced by Shaymin in today’s Pokémon Day stream that saw the reveal of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet alongside the Daybreak update from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Shaymin kicks off the game with something called Oak’s Letter.

When you receive the Orc’s Letter Mystery Gift, you can meet Shaymin to catch a Mythical Pokémon and add it to your team. As you can see from the trailer, the new play of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will have about two hours of playtime before the Mystery Gift feature is unlocked.

However, you will have plenty of time to participate in this mysterious gift event. That’s because, while the live starts today, it will remain live until March 27, so there’s more than a month left to add Shaymin to Pokédex.
