Pokémon and Converse Collaborate on Pikachu, Charizard, Mewtwo, Eevee Shoes
In January, Converse launched a line of shoes featuring Jigglypuff, Meowth, Squirtle, and more, and now the company has announced the next line of Pokémon shoes, as reported on Kotaku. This time the iconic chuck highlights a single Pokémon from each pair. There are Pikachu Shoes, Eevee Shoes, Lizard Shoes, and Mutoo Shoes, all four pairs look great.

As you can see in the image above, the shoes are designed to match the main color of each Pokemon. The Pikachu shoes are bright yellow, the Eevee shoes are tan-ish brown, the Charizard pair is a fire-type orange, and the Mewtwo Chuck is a chic, subdued pinkish purple. Unfortunately, all signs indicate that this decline is only occurring in Japan.
For starters, they appear to be only available on Converse’s Japanese website, and all four pairs are expected to launch this week for around $75. There is also the fact that each Pokémon’s name is written in Japanese on the shoe. That’s why Charizard shoes are called Lizardon. But it could just be a styling decision, so there’s a chance that perhaps these shoes will pass to the West sometime in the future. But for now, it looks like I’ll have to browse the Converse Japan site to get a pair (or four).
