Giving you a serious look at the gates of death, Have Nice Death is an action roguelite game just unveiled at the Game Awards. But the stunning hand-drawn illustrations give it a unique personality, and its tone looks a little more humorous than Acid Nerve’s hit title. You will play Death Overworked, and as the head of Death Incorporated, it is your job to make sure the souls reach their final resting place in the afterlife. But everyone needs a break from time to time. To get the vacation you need, you need to make sure that executive Sorrows don’t become overzealous on the planet.

Have A Nice Death launches in early access in March, and so far developer Magic Design Studios has not announced whether the game will be released to consoles. A death-focused action title isn’t the studio’s first beautiful game. Back in 2019, Unruly Heroes, a vivid adaptation of the popular Chinese tale Journey To West, was released to all major platforms, giving hope for the developer’s next project to follow. We’ll have to wait and hear more about the title before it launches into Early Access next year.
