New Overwatch 2 Concept Art Shows Possible Battle Pass
It looks like it will be years before Overwatch 2 is fully playable, but Blizzard recently revealed that this will “separate” PvP and PvE from the sequel. That means you can get your hands on one or more of the game’s core experiences. However, in the long wait, there is a lot of Overwatch 2 information Blizzard has shared, such as saying that Bastion will be significantly different in a sequel or that Doomfist will be a tank hero.
Thanks to new concept art from former Overwatch UI designer Jayson Kirby, we got our first hints of a possible battle pass for Overwatch 2 as reported by Attack Of The Fanboy.

As you can see in the scene above, there is a very clear option on the screen called “Battle Pass”. Clicking on that option will take you directly to Overwatch 2’s main Battle Pass hub. Here you can find things like challenges, tiers, unlocks, and more. Of course, this is all speculation, as Blizzard hasn’t officially revealed anything about Overwatch 2’s Battle Pass yet. But that’s not surprising, as more and more games are making games to give players something to constantly strive for.
There is also a “Shop” option available with the Battle Pass. As with Fortnite’s item shop, players can level up in the Battle Pass to get skins and more, but they can also purchase something special from the shop. Of course, this kind of Overwatch goes against the nature of the loot box system, but perhaps Blizzard is throwing it away for the Battle Pass. Or maybe you found a way to mix them in the studio. Now time will tell.
