Marauders take Looter Shooters with great danger into space
Developer Small Impact Games, together with publisher Team17, have announced a new first-person shooter called Marauders, designed with a mix of PvP and PvE in mind.
Set in the 1990s, when World War I did not end, mankind fled to space, and many people had to search the space station to survive. The setting is retro futuristic, offering a dieselpunk aesthetic instead of Star Trek-like high tech and clean space illusions. Players will raid space ships alone or with up to 3 other allies for loot like new guns and gear and hope to survive at the end. If successful, you’ll have all kinds of new weapons and tools available for your next match, and you’ll get a boot-up advantage. Or you can hawk most of them for extra spending cash.
Other players raiding the same location can ruin the run by removing the team during a shootout that is likely to break out. Or you can take a boat and command your own ship. Starships can be individually customized and upgraded, allowing players to safely escape after collecting valuable space loot and add dogfight opportunities to the match. Losing your means of escape and wasting time between missions will of course be something you want to avoid.

A full release date is currently unknown, but a closed beta period for pre-orders is expected soon, and is expected to enter early access this year. Small Impact Games’ galactic predatory shooter Marauders is coming to PC via Steam and also available as part of an Xbox game preview via PC Game Pass.
